Week Three Reading At Home
I love to read on my own time. I enjoy the fact of being able to read at home when I am alone. I’m a very shy and quiet person and do not tend to like to read in class or to anyone well besides my kids. The best time for me to read is in the evening time when the kids and the husband are watching T.V. When I start a book at home I often finish it the same day just depends if it catches my attention to the fullest, and at school I am not able to read at my pace and when I want to. I’m someone that needs to be somewhere quiet and able to concentrate on what I’m reading and I believe being at home is the best place for me. I really prefer to sit on my living room floor and read all that I can read without having to stop. No it’s not always quiet but I tend to get more reading done at home. If I’m not reading to myself I’m reading to my kids so they can understand the facts and points and reasons of reading and why it’s a positive thing in life. The positive effects of being at home is that I am more at ease and more adapted and able to be comfortable and know what I reading and how to explain what I have read to others is a lot easier when I can read it to myself and not to a lot of people or in class. I really understand things better when I can read and think about it on my own time in my home.

I also like reading at home, By myself. I like being able to read at my own pace, which is sometimes slow...i can also be very shy, but there are times when i am very loud...lol... I relate to you very much when it comes to reading
ReplyDeleteYou are like me, I don't like reading aloud in class either. I am also a shy person. When I read, it has to be quiet other wise, I will have to reread everything that I read.
ReplyDeleteVery thoughtful post. I know reading aloud in class is a challenge. But, you do well and practice will help.
ReplyDeleteOh Starla there is not need to be shy in this class :) It will be ok!!!
